An exciting opportunity for a talented Clinical Psychologist (or Clinical Psychologist Registrar) to work within a positive and enthusiastic Drug and Alcohol Team. This role provided professional counselling services that demonstrate evidence-based strategies to improve the health and wellbeing of individuals and significant others affected by problematic substance use and associated comorbidities. This role is based at Royal North Shore Community Health Centre.
What you'll be doing
An exciting opportunity has become available for for a talented Clinical Psychologist (or Clinical Psychologist Registrar).
People of Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander background are encouraged to apply.
Candidates will need to meet the following criteria:
- Full AHPRA registration as a Psychologist with a Master's degree or higher in Clinical Psychology, relevant clinical area in psychology.
- Demonstrated experience and clinical knowledge in the assessment and treatment of people with drug and alcohol problems or people with co-morbid substance use disorders and mental health conditions using a range of modalities e.g., CBT, DBT, ACT, schema or motivational interviewing.
- Proven ability to work effectively in a multi-disciplinary team and experience in health promotion, quality projects and research.
