Where you'll be working: Hornsby Hospital


What you'll be doing: The Nutrition and Dietetics service provides a comprehensive range of nutrition services including inpatients, outpatients, ambulatory care and community consumers according to endorsed standards of practice, policy and procedure. Nutritional care involves assessment, provision of an appropriate nutrition care plan, monitoring, discharge planning, transfer of care and education for consumers, carers and families.

 

People of Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander background are encouraged to apply. 

 

Candidates will need to meet the following criteria: 

  1. Bachelor or post graduate degree in nutrition and dietetics that provides eligibility for full membership of the Dietitians Association of Australia. Post graduate clinical experience in Nutrition and Dietetics in an inpatient setting.
  2. Commitment to participation in professional development, quality improvement activities and workplace education.
  3. Demonstrate skills and knowledge in the provision of service to consumers, carers and families requiring effective interpersonal communication, networking and collaboration skills.
  4. Demonstrated ability to prioritise and manage workload demands, meet deadlines and complete activities (including ability to work within scope of practice and seek assistance when required).
