About the role:

The Chief Pharmacist will provide leadership in the operation of the Health Service pharmacy department, including ensuring the department is staffed appropriately within available resources and functioning effectively.

As the Chief Pharmacist, you will be responsible for:

• Leading and actively participating in the provision of a clinical pharmacy service which complies with Society of Hospitals Pharmacists Australia (SHPA) Standards of Practice and industry standards.

• Maintaining an up-to-date knowledge of clinical service delivery

• Coordinating, leading and supervising pharmacy services through management of staff, resources and budgets in accordance with policy and legislative requirements

• Maintaining a safe workplace through management of the pharmacy staffing profile

About You

Our ideal candidate will demonstrate:

1. Current registration with AHPRA with the Pharmacy Board of Australia

2. Extensive experience in hospital pharmacy practice including clinical experience and demonstrated successful management of the provision of pharmacy services in accordance with NSQHS

3. Excellence in communication skills, problem solving and management skills
