This is a maternity relief position and should the permanent incumbent require an early return from maternity leave, this contract of employment will cease with two weeks notice. Maternity relief positions can be for a period of up to 12 months, with the possibility of continued employment for up to a further 12 months for maternity leave reduced hours, therefore there are no claims to permanency.

About the Opportunity

The Pharmacy Assistant / Pharmacy Technician role is part of the Operational Dispensary team and is based at Gosford Hospital, working Monday to Friday, 8.00am - 5.30pm.  In this role, you will support pharmacists by delivering essential services including:
 

  • Dispensing and distribution of pharmaceuticals.

  • Inventory management and stock coordination.

  • Participation in the Pharmacy Procurement and Inventory Management team when needed.

  • Ensuring continuity of service across CCLHD sites.

  • Your work will help ensure optimal pharmacy services for patients and staff, contributing directly to quality healthcare outcomes.

About You
 

  • You have relevant pharmacy experience, either without formal qualifications (Pharmacy Assistant Grade 1) or with a recognised Certificate III in Hospital or Community Pharmacy (Pharmacy Assistant Grade 2 / Pharmacy Technician Grade 1).

  • You have hands-on experience in pharmaceutical dispensing, stock management, and distribution.

  • You pride yourself on your clear communication and customer service skills.

  • You're confident with pharmacy systems and technology.

  • You’re a reliable, detail-focused team player
