- Current registration with Nursing & Midwifery Board of Australia as an Enrolled Nurse (Division 2).
- Recent experience in an acute nursing environment and successful completion of Principles of Emergency Care certificate for Enrolled/Division 2 OR Recent experience in an acute nursing environment and willingness to obtain Principles of Emergency Care certificate for Enrolled/Division 2 nursing within 12 months of commencement. OR Recent experience working in an acute nursing environment, and relevant previous experience in an Aged care setting.
- Understanding of team nursing and demonstrated ability to work effectively as part of the multi-disciplinary health care team.
- Demonstrated effective communication through the use of information technology, written, verbal and interpersonal skills with the ability to identify key messages, issues and concerns when communicating with others.
- Knowledge and understanding of quality improvement, person-centred care and evidence-based practice.
- Demonstrated understanding of and ability to practice in accordance with legislation, policies and within the scope of practice for an Enrolled Nurse.
- Availability and capacity to participate in a 24 hour/ seven-day rotating roster which includes working all shifts, all days of the week including public holidays.
