About the role 

The Alcohol and Other Drugs (AOD) Clinical Nurse/Midwife Consultant Grade 2 (CNC2/CMC2) provides expert AOD clinical consultancy and advanced care for women in the perinatal period, delivering specialist assessment, care planning and coordinated, evidence-based interventions in line with the Clinical Service and Consultancy domain. 


Leading and strengthening AOD clinical practice through multidisciplinary collaboration and specialist advice, supporting quality improvement and applying current evidence to practice, building capacity across AOD, maternity and related teams through targeted education. 


Contributing to service planning, pathway development and system improvement to enhance safe, integrated perinatal AOD care within the Northern NSW Local Health District (NNSWLHD).
