Nurse Practitioner Aged Care Hospital Avoidance

1. Authorised by the Nurses and Midwives Board of NSW, pursuant to Section 19A of the Nurses Act 1991, to practice as a Nurse Practitioner
2. Demonstrated evidence of advanced practice and clinical leadership within the aged care setting the equivalent of 3 years full time advanced practice within the last 6 years
3. Compliance with the Nursing and Midwifery Board's registration standards on continual professional development
4. High level verbal and written communication skills with the ability to work autonomously within the team focused environment of the care of geriatrics
5. Demonstrated expert knowledge and application of skills required in contemporary nursing practice, including expert knowledge and skills in patient assessment and treatment, early intervention and referral and an understanding of appropriate legislation , policies and procedures
6. Post graduate qualification in aged care and/or emergency nursing and Masters of Nursing (Nurse Practitioner) or a qualification at a masters level deemed equivalent
7. Current Drivers licence valid in Australia
