Applications are invited from suitably qualified medical/dental practitioners for the above position in the Nepean Blue Mountains Local Health District. The position will be primarily located at Nepean Hospital within the Department of Medical Administration
Applicants expecting to be awarded their Fellowship within 6 months will be considered. If successful, the applicant will not be subsequently eligible to commence their appointment until after the relevant qualifications and requirements are formally completed.
Appointees may be eligible for credentialing and privileging across all other facilities in the Nepean Blue Mountains Local Health District.

Selection Criteria
1. Possess or be eligible for registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
2. Possess Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Medical Administrators (FRACMA) or equivalent as provided for in the Health Insurance Act 1997 and the Staff Specialists (State) Award. Evidence of Continuing Medical Education and self-monitoring/audit practices consistent with the scope of practice requirements of the position.
3. Demonstrated capacity to effectively manage junior medical workforce.
4. Demonstrated expertise in clinical leadership, including coaching, mentoring, and training skills to support a range of change management initiatives with demonstrated high level communication, interpersonal and negotiation skills.
5. Demonstrated highly developed conceptual, analytical, problem solving and strategic planning skills.
6. Demonstrated understanding of the principles of clinical service delivery, including legislative and regulatory requirements, and the principles of clinical governance, clinical risk management and clinical practice improvement.
7. Demonstrated experience in driving a culture of professional medical administration and governance, inclusive of issues relating to medical workforce, medical professional practice, clinical governance, clinical ethics, clinical teaching, and clinical leadership, developed in a substantial senior medical management role relevant to the position.
8. Demonstrated ability to develop and maintain effective and collaborative relationships with clinician managers and other stakeholders with a hands-on approach.
