Nepean Hospital is a teaching hospital that provides tertiary referral services in emergency care, coronary care, diagnostics, gynaecology, paediatric, neonatal intensive care/ICU, maternity, mental health, rehabilitation, and surgery. The Nepean Campus has recently experienced tremendous growth and aims to support communities within and outside of Sydney’s western suburbs, providing world-class clinical facilities, services, and care.
The Nepean Blue Mountains Health District offers a wide range of Medical Imaging (Radiology), Nuclear Medicine and Nuclear Medical Therapy procedures through our various facilities/services with a goal to help diagnose, assess, and treat patient's injury or disease.
This role is critical in driving operational efficiency, enhancing patient and staff experience, ensuring compliance and supporting the growth and development of our imaging services. The Business Operations Manager is responsible for efficient, effective and sustainable operations of the Medical Imaging and Nuclear Medicine/PET Service.
The role provides Leadership, Direction and Management for Administrative, Contracts, Financial and Information Management functions across the service. The Business Operations Manager works collaboratively as a member of the Management Team to support the Executive Leadership Team to achieve performance targets and KPIs and contribute to a high performance and customer service-oriented culture. You will have a lead role in managing significant external and internal stakeholder relationships to support delivery of high quality, sustainable clinical services.

What you will bring to the role
- Tertiary qualification in Health Management or Business Administration or related field, and/or equivalent experience in a management role in a public health organisation.
- Proven ability to lead high performing teams, instilling a customer service culture.
- Extensive experience in the management of contracts, finance, administration, and information management functions in a public health environment.
- Demonstrated experience in dealing effectively with external service providers including experience in the development of specifications, evaluation of tenders and management of contracts for service delivery.
- Demonstrated experience in managing the planning and implementation of complex projects and change management, achieving intended business outcomes.
- Demonstrated ability to develop, monitor and reach predicted outcomes to strategic, operational, implementation and project plans.
- Experience and ability to build relationships at a senior level with highly developed negotiation, influencing and delegation skills.
- Highly developed skills in the use of information technology, business software packages and data analytics, with the ability to analyse, synthesise and clearly communicate complex information to a variety of audiences in a variety of formats.
