Trainee - Unaccredited Position

1. MBBS or equivalent, currently registered or eligible for registration with the Medical Board of Australia.
2. A minimum of 3 years of postgraduate experience and previous experience in an Otolaryngology, head and neck department, including sufficient clinical experience in order to undertake the key accountabilities for this role.
3. Commitment to the Otolaryngology – Head and Neck SET training program: either completed or on track to complete the requirements for admission to SET training. This includes the completion of desired courses, exams and terms.
4. Demonstrated ability to work independently within a supervised complex clinical environment utilising excellent clinical skills, judgement and expertise, including demonstrated excellent verbal, written and interpersonal skills, with the capacity to vary communication style.
5. Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively within multi-disciplinary teams, including the sharing of appropriate information internally and externally with key persons or services.
6. Demonstrated ability to prioritise workloads and display a flexible approach to meet changing situations in a demanding and unpredictable clinical environment.
7. Demonstrated ongoing commitment to further self-education, professional development and to quality improvement, patient safety and risk management.
