Nepean Hospital is a teaching hospital that provides tertiary referral services in emergency care, coronary care, diagnostics, gynaecology, paediatric, neonatal intensive care/ICU, maternity, mental health, rehabilitation, and surgery. The Nepean Blue Mountains Speech Pathology Department is seeking one or more adaptable and enthusiastic Speech Pathologists to join the team on a temporary full time basis.
This position offers skill development across a range of clinical areas, with access to supervision and professional development opportunities so clinicians can gain experience across multiple areas of acute hospital care and grow their clinical expertise.
The successful applicant/s will work in an assigned clinical area in a rotational model that includes Acute & Critical Care, paediatric Feeding, Blue Mountains Hospital, Head & Neck, Aged Care and or Neurology & Rehabilitation.

What you will bring to the role
- Degree or diploma in Speech Pathology or equivalent recognised by Speech Pathology Australia, with eligibility for membership of Speech Pathology Australia
- Demonstrated knowledge, skills and clinical experience in the assessment and management of communication and swallowing disorders, with experience in adult populations favourably considered
- Excellent spoken, written and interpersonal skills and demonstrated experience in the application of these skills in a team environment
- Knowledge of and commitment to evidence-based practice, and demonstrated application of how evidence-based practice has been incorporated into your professional work
- Evidence of commitment to professional development and training.
- Demonstrated ability to use information technology effectively in clinical practice.
- Current Driver’s Licence and willingness to use for work purpose travel
