About Us

Nepean Blue Mountains Local Health District (NBMLHD) is a wonderful place to expand your career and grow your skills and knowledge. As a recognised leader in the healthcare industry, we provide a range of public health services to the Nepean, Blue Mountains, and Lithgow Region.

NBMLHD Community Mental Health offers a range of specialised services for children, young people, families and older people, through our community-based services and health centers. Our multidisciplinary health professionals and case managers take a collaborative approach to mental health care by linking with their patients to work together and consult within an environment appropriate to the person's needs.

Be part of something new, innovative and truly impactful. The Safeguards Team is an established Child, Youth & Family Mental Health service, purpose-built to transform how we support children and young people in crisis. This dynamic, community-based team delivers rapid, flexible and responsive care to young people aged 0–17 experiencing acute mental health distress—meeting them where they are, when they need it most.

As a Senior Social Worker within this high-performing multidisciplinary team, you will play a key role in shaping outcomes for vulnerable children, young people and their families. Reporting to the NBM Safeguards Clinical Lead, you will bring advanced clinical expertise and a strong foundation in evidence-based practice to deliver comprehensive, trauma-informed and developmentally appropriate assessments and interventions. Your work will focus on coordinating care, guiding complex clinical decision-making, and providing meaningful, time-limited therapeutic support that makes a lasting difference.

If you are a passionate and experienced clinician ready to contribute your expertise in a collaborative and fast-paced environment, we invite you to join us and help shape a brighter future for young people in our community. Apply Now!
