Hawkesbury District Health Service is a teaching hospital in Windsor NSW, providing acute, community and allied health services for the local community and surrounding districts. The service provides 24-hour emergency, medical, surgical, diagnostic, maternity, neonatal, paediatric, palliative, intensive and coronary care services.
Hawkesbury District Hospital is seeking motivated and compassionate Registered Nurses to join our Neonatal Special Care Nursery team. Our Special Care Nursery is a Level 3 Unit caring for neonates from 34weeks gestation and step down from Neonatal Intensive Care Units. Special Nursery is part of the Hawkesbury Maternity Services birthing over 600 babies each year.
In this role, you will provide high-quality, family centred care to neonates requiring specialised support, working collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team to ensure the best possible outcomes for babies and their families.

What you will bring to the role
- Current registration as a Registered Nurse Division 1 with AHPRA.
- Demonstrated experience and clinical skill in special care nursery with the completion of a new graduate Registered Nurse program or equivalent experience working as a Registered Nurse.
- Demonstrated capacity to provide effective nursing care that is person centred, family inclusive and culturally sensitive to people accessing health services.
- Demonstrated ability to organise and prioritise work.
- Demonstrated effective communications written and verbal skills.
- Demonstrated commitment to professional development.
- Ability to work effectively within a multi-disciplinary team.
- Ability to work a flexible roster, day evening or night shift across all days of the week according to the unit or team requirements.
