A rare opportunity is available for Registered Nurses to join the team in the Renal Services Team within NBMLHD. Enjoy a permanent full-time role with diverse clinical exposure, working across six days from Monday to Saturday. This position will cover 3 sites - Nepean, Blue Mountains and Penrith Community.
Your role as the Registered Nurse is to ensure optimal outcomes for patients/clients and carers of the service through the promotion of best practice including the appropriate escalation of care whilst working collaboratively utilising effective team communication with members of the multidisciplinary health team in the planning, implementation, assessment and evaluation of patient care.
At all times you will act as an advocate for the specific needs of all patients/clients and carers including those from the indigenous population or other multi-cultural groups providing appropriate care to the patient/client undergoing specialised procedures.This position within the Dialysis team will see you prioritise and monitor the workload of the unit ensuring the allocation of staff is appropriate, including during staff breaks, assume a leadership role in promoting the adherence to current Policies, Procedures and Standards and facilitate patient flow through effective communication.

What you will bring to the role
- Current registration to practice as a division 1 Registered Nurse with AHPRA.
- Demonstrated recent experience and clinical skill in Haemodialysis Nursing as a registered nurse (including Completion of a new graduate RN program or equivalent experience working as a Registered Nurse)
- Demonstrated effective communication skills - written and verbal.
- Able to perform effectively as a team member
- Demonstrated ability to organise and prioritise work
- Demonstrated evidence of being able to provide person centred care
- Demonstrated commitment to professional development
