About Us
Nepean Blue Mountains Local Health District (NBMLHD) is a wonderful place to expand your career and grow your skills and knowledge. As a recognised leader in the healthcare industry, we provide a range of public health services to the Nepean, Blue Mountains, and Lithgow Region.

Nepean Hospital is a teaching hospital that provides tertiary referral services in emergency care, coronary care, diagnostics, gynaecology, paediatric, neonatal intensive care/ICU, maternity, mental health, rehabilitation, and surgery. The Nepean Campus has recently experienced tremendous growth and aims to support communities within and outside of Sydney’s western suburbs, providing world-class clinical facilities, services, and care.

We are seeking a motivated and skilled Pharmacist to join our team, providing high‑quality clinical pharmacy services within Nepean Emergency Department. In this dynamic role, you will be an active member of the patient care team, contributing to safe and effective medication management across all transitions of care, including admission, inpatient treatment and discharge. You will enhance patient care processes by ensuring best practice in therapeutics, maintaining medication accuracy, and working closely with community pharmacists and general practitioners to support continuity of care.

As an Emergency Department Pharmacist, you will play a vital role in preventing medication errors and optimising patient outcomes in a fast‑paced clinical environment. You will also contribute to teaching and research activities, support the development of clinical practice initiatives, and help drive improvements in medication safety and quality use of medicines across the service. Reporting to the Director of Pharmacy, you will play a key role in supporting the district's Drug Committee and Medication Safety Committee through the delivery of accurate, efficient, and professional secretarial and administrative functions.

If you are looking to take that next step in your career, we encourage you to apply today.
