About the Role
Formed in 1882, Royal Prince Alfred Hospital (RPAH) is a major metropolitan tertiary referral hospital and a principal provider of specialist healthcare. It remains one of the nation’s most respected hospitals, with a distinguished history serving the health needs of local, statewide, national and international communities.
This position is responsible for providing support and information to women attending the BreastScreen Sydney Service. This position is required to ensure that assessment clinics run effectively and efficiently including; obtaining client consent, communicating the process to clients, answering any questions, assisting with biopsies and ensuring that clients are satisfied and well supported during their visit. This position is also required to liaison with medical personnel/general practitioners regarding client assessment results and acting as a resource for clients and referring medical practitioners.
The role could be split between two successful applicants, with availability on:
- Monday & Tuesday
- Thursday & Friday

Ideal Candidate
- Tertiary qualifications as a Registered Nurse with current AHPRA registration and extensive post registration experience.
- High level of computer literacy including an ability to utilise a range of Microsoft Office programs.
- Ability to work in a fast paced clinical setting.
- Experience in counselling in a medical or cancer related environment.
