Springwood Hospital was opened in 1976 as a community-based hospital in the Blue Mountains. Springwood community remains very active in supporting and raising funds for the hospital who provides a range of allied health, rehabilitation, aged care and palliative care services.

We are seeking dedicated Enrolled Nurses to join our team and contribute to the delivery of safe, high‑quality patient care. As an Enrolled Nurse, you will provide nursing care in accordance with individual care plans and under the supervision of a Registered Nurse, ensuring all activities align with the scope of practice for an Enrolled Nurse. You will support accurate collection and documentation of health information, communicate effectively with patients and the healthcare team, and uphold respectful, courteous and professional interactions at all times.

The position involves actively participating in bedside handover, reviewing clinical notes at the start of each shift, and involving patients and their carers in planning care that meets their needs. You will assist patients with daily living activities, provide emotional support, monitor their response to care, and recognise changes in health status or clinical deterioration, responding appropriately in line with established protocols. Where permitted by legislation and organisational policy, you may administer prescribed medications or maintain intravenous fluids in accordance with your training.

You will contribute to a safe and supportive care environment by maintaining confidentiality, addressing concerns early, managing complaints at the point of care where possible, and promoting patient privacy, dignity and best practice standards. What you will bring to the role:

  1. Current registration Division 2 (without notation) - Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA)
  2. Experience and demonstrated skill and acute and chronic nursing
  3. Demonstrated ability to organise and prioritise work
  4. Demonstrated evidence of being able to provide person centered care
  5. Demonstrated effective communication skills - written and verbal
  6. Experience working in a multidisciplinary team
  7. Ability to work a flexible roster, day, evening or night shift across all days of the week according to the unit/service requirements.
