Hawkesbury District Health Service is a teaching hospital in Windsor NSW, providing acute, community and allied health services for the local community and surrounding districts. The service provides 24-hour emergency, medical, surgical, diagnostic, maternity, neonatal, paediatric, palliative, intensive and coronary care services.

We are seeking a motivated and patient centered Dietitian to join our multidisciplinary team on a permanent part time basis (job share, Wednesday to Friday). This role provides an excellent opportunity to deliver high quality nutrition care across acute and subacute inpatient services, with opportunities for professional development and collaboration within a supportive hospital setting.

As a Dietitian at Hawkesbury District Hospital, you will provide evidence based nutrition assessment, intervention, and education to inpatients, contribute to multidisciplinary care planning and discharge planning and support nutrition screening, food service processes, and clinical documentation.

What you will bring to the role

  1. Tertiary qualifications in Nutrition and Dietetics and eligible for full membership of Dietitians Australia
  2. Up-to-date knowledge and skills in nutrition and dietetic practice, including the inpatient acute care setting, and paediatrics.
  3. Current experience as a clinical dietitian, with post graduate experience in a hospital setting
  4. Demonstrated evidence of excellent oral and written communication skills, including experience and confidence within multi-disciplinary teams
  5. Demonstrated ability to work successfully both as part of a team and independently, while managing a high paced and high-volume workload
  6. High level computer skills in a wide variety of applications/programs, including experience with Diet Office/Food service IT systems
  7. Experience in nutrition related quality improvement projects focusing on improvements in clinical patient care and/or services
  8. Current Driver's Licence and willingness to use for work purpose travel
