About the Opportunity

 

As a Speech Pathologist you will provide high-quality evidence-led speech pathology assessments, diagnoses and interventions to patients/clients and their families/carers to ensure patients are well managed and optimal health care needs are met. This position may require the successful applicant to work weekend shifts as part of the service roster.
 

In this role you will:
 

  • Ensure care is delivered within professional, organisational, legal, and ethical boundaries.

  • Accurately maintain systems related to booking, scheduling, and counting/recording of patient contact.

  • Exercise professional judgement for the clinical assessment and management of clients/patients/consumers referred.

  • Contribute to ongoing education/training and actively participate in professional practice supervision, continuous improvement, and clinical research activities.

About You

 

We are looking for someone who has:
 

  • Tertiary qualifications in Speech Pathology with eligibility for practicing membership of Speech Pathology Australia
  • Demonstrated clinical experience with knowledge working within an inpatient and/or outpatient speech pathology setting.

  • Effective verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills with a demonstrated ability to adapt communication style to suit different audiences.

  • Demonstrated ability to analyse problems, set priorities and apply a range of options to develop timely solutions.
  • Commitment to professional development, evidence-based practice and continuous improvement.
