Blue Mountains District ANZAC Memorial Hospital is an acute hospital that supports a population of approximately 80,000 and is the only ANZAC Memorial hospital remaining in NSW. Easily accessible to Sydney residents, our team of clinicians, allied health, and support staff works with the community on a shared goal to maintain the delivery of high-quality healthcare in the Blue Mountains region.
NBMLHD is currently seeking Wardspersons to join our casual pool located at Blue Mountains District ANZAC Memorial Hospital, Katoomba.
In this role you will be responsible for transporting patients and items throughout the hospital and providing assistance to patients within the clinical setting. These services must be performed in a courteous and efficient manner with particular attention to customer service.
Your role within the hospital is imperative and will see you transfer patients safely throughout the organisation including infectious risk patients and patients who arrive by helicopter, attend to dirty linen, transport patient related items, equipment & medical files and transport deceased persons from ward areas to the mortuary. This is a busy and challenging role that will see you manage your time to assist all facilities within the hospital.

What you will bring to the role
- Able to demonstrate a good understanding of customer service
- Ability to work Mornings, Evenings & Night duty shifts, across a 7 day week roster
- Able to demonstrate problem solving an prioritisation skills in a work environment
- Be able to meet the physical demands of the position as listed in the physical requirements in the position description
- Excellent verbal and interpersonal skills
- Able to demonstrate a reasonable understanding of work health and safety
- Current driver's licence and willingness to use for work purpose travel
