About this role
Working in partnership with HPCA Projects team, the Senior Project Officer (Aboriginal Identified) provides expert advice, formulates strategic and innovative solutions, and oversees the development, review and evaluation of new policies, business and process improvement projects.
Crown Clerk 9/10, salary from $125,693 - $138,510 plus super and leave loading.

What you'll be doing
Role will be allocated responsibility for:
• In partnership with project leads, support coordination of a range of projects in relation to NSW Health Professional Councils and HPCA Joint Aboriginal Cultural Safety Strategy and the objectives of NSW Health’s Aboriginal Health Plan.
• Provide expertise and guidance for strategic projects and priorities relating to health practitioner regulatory systems and corporate functions, with consideration of Aboriginal ways of working, learning and connecting.
• Support HPCA Executive and teams to ensure change and improvement initiatives are implemented with due consideration of impact for Aboriginal people and communities.
• Assist in developing relationships with key stakeholders to inform strategic plans and further priority actions.
• Lead and contribute to all aspects of the project management lifecycle to ensure outcomes are achieved on time, to quality standards and within agreed scope.
• Support project teams, to successfully deliver key project/s milestones and outcomes with an ongoing focus on embedding skills, knowledge and capability in Aboriginal cultural safety across the organisation.
About you
This is a position identified for Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander people based on a genuine occupational qualification under section 14(d) of the Anti-Discrimination Act 1977.

The Health Professional Councils Authority (HPCA) is an executive agency of the NSW Ministry of Health. We play an important role in protecting the health and safety of the public by supporting the 15 NSW Health Professional Councils in managing complaints about NSW health practitioners.
The position is based at the HPCA Pitt Street offices, located only a short walking distance from Central Station and Belmore Park.
