About this role


Are you passionate about financial data analysis, reporting and governance that positively impact individuals, families, and communities through the health sector? The Senior Project Officer plays a key role in the Cash and Financial Systems Governance team. This position manages and coordinates the development, evaluation and implementation of new financial systems and other complex projects to achieve project outcomes. The role involves analysis of large and intricate financial datasets, evaluation of reporting, analytical and automation tools, and assists with the implementation of statewide solutions for better financial data governance and enhanced statewide reporting.

 

Crown Clerk 9/10, starting salary from $125,693 - $138,510 plus Super and annual leave loading, with a 35-hour work week.

What you'll be doing

  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to resolve issues and manage project outcomes.

  • Analyse and reconcile complex datasets to ensure accurate data and reporting.

  • Review and evaluate reporting tools, BI & dashboards, ETL, automation tools and emerging technologies on their suitability for adoption.

  • Analyse meta data and reporting hierarchies across financial systems and contribute to the design of a new reporting architect.


About you


We are seeking motivated and committed individuals who can support the work of NSW Health with:

  • The ability to build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Strong analytical ability to analyse, reconcile and explain large and complex data sets through verbal, written and visual forms.

  • Excellent working knowledge of budgeting, data analysis, meta data, relational and multi-dimensional databases.

  • Advanced MS Excel skills and experience with EPM, Smartview, Power BI, Alteryx, SQL, MS Access.

  •  Experience in working in a fast paced and high-pressured environment with an ability to prioritise and manage tight deadlines.

  • The ability to think and solve problems effectively in both a team and on an individual basis.
