The Prevention and Response to Violence, Abuse and Neglect (PARVAN) Unit in the NSW Ministry of Health has several Senior Policy Officer roles available:

Crown Clerk 9/10, starting salary from $129,464 - $142,665 p.a. plus Super and annual leave loading, with a 35-hour work week.
About us
The PARVAN Unit is staffed by dedicated policy professionals who support NSW Health services to deliver evidence-based, culturally safe and trauma-informed responses to children, young people and adults who are victim-survivors of violence, abuse and neglect.
- PARVAN supports and drives NSW Health policy and practice priorities in relation to the prevention, identification and response to:
- child abuse and neglect
- domestic and family violence
- Aboriginal family violence
- sexual assault
- medical and forensic responses to violence, abuse and neglect
- adult survivors of child sexual assault
- children and young people with problematic or harmful sexual behaviours
About these roles
We are seeking highly motivated and committed Senior Policy Officers to join our Child Protection and Wellbeing, Sexual Assault Medical and Forensic, and Domestic and Family Violence Projects teams. Work with us to improve the safety, health and wellbeing of children, young people, adults and families in NSW.
What you'll be doing
The Child Protection and Wellbeing, Sexual Assault Medical and Forensic, and Domestic and Family Violence Projects teams are responsible for a diverse and interesting range of policy, program and project work, including:
- undertaking and supporting policy development and priority projects
- participating in the design of new violence, abuse and neglect services and clinical pathways
- overseeing key identification, prevention and response programs
- providing advice and support to NSW Health Violence, Abuse and Neglect Services, interagency partners, and public health organisations, and working with ministerial and parliamentary teams.
Background or experience in violence, abuse and neglect clinical, policy or program work (or an adjacent area) is preferred but not essential.
