About this role
The Senior Advisor (Safety and Injury Management) supports the achievement of NSW Health’s safety and injury management/rehabilitation, recovery and return to work objectives.
Crown Clerk 9/10, starting salary from $125,693 - $138,510 plus Super and annual leave loading, with a 35-hour work week.

What you'll be doing
- Provide advice to support NSW Health risk, WHS, injury management and return to work practitioners to consistently interpret legislation, policies and practices.
- Develop policy, project, strategy and evaluation activities to be implemented across NSW Health, addressing current and emerging issues.
- Prepare high quality written reports, briefs, correspondence, cabinet documents, regular and ad-hoc injury management/ rehabilitation, recovery, return to work/workers compensation reports and submission of cases and data to inform or respond to agency or Government requests compliant with legislation.
- Research and evaluate safety/injury management/ rehabilitation, recovery, return to work/workers compensation policies and guidance in order to assess and advise on their relevance and their potential impact on Ministry and Government objectives.
About you
We are seeking motivated and committed individuals who can support the work of NSW Health with:
- The ability to build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders.
- Experience in developing, analysing and evaluating policy and other projects related to safety/injury management/ rehabilitation, recovery, return to work/workers compensation in a multi-disciplinary environment.
- Knowledge and understanding of policies and legislation impacting on safety/injury management/ rehabilitation, recovery, return to work/workers compensation and related matters.
- Demonstrated skills and experience in managing all aspects of policy and project research, development, review and evaluation.
