Join the National Maternity Workforce Strategy team at the Ministry of Health for an exciting temporary employment opportunity, guiding the development of a national strategy creating practical and meaningful talent pipeline, recruitment, and retention strategies for all maternity clinicians.

About this role

Want to lead the development of a national workforce strategy? With your skills and experience, you can inform how all Australian states and territories support maternity health services workforces now and into the future.

Crown Clerk 11/12, starting salary from $145,378 - $168,130 plus Super and annual leave loading, with a 35-hour work week.

What you'll be doing 

  • Managing a small, high-performing team to engage with stakeholders, understand, and develop a National Maternity Workforce Strategy.
  • Practicing good governance by ensuring decision-makers have clear, relevant and timely advice for delivering the Strategy on time and to budget.
  • Thinking critically to innovate in a context of workforce challenges 

About you 
We are seeking motivated and committed individuals who can support the work of NSW Health by: 

  • Managing complex and sensitive consultations with diverse stakeholders
  • Driving a culture of achievement and acknowledge input from others
  • Implementing effective strategies to remedy variances from project plans to minimise impact
  • Undertaking objective, critical analysis to draw accurate conclusions that recognise and manage contextual issues
