About the role

Lead a high-performing team and strategic approach to deliver research, evaluation, monitoring and data management that supports NSW Health to make decisions about policies and programs within the Health and Social Policy portfolio.
Crown Clerk 11/12, starting salary from $149,739 – $173,174 plus Super and annual leave loading, with a 35-hour work week,work location- 1 Reserve Road, St Leonards.

What you'll be doing
- Lead and manage staff to support the delivery of high quality, relevant research, evaluation and monitoring of policies and programs/projects within health and social policy branch
- Provide timely, expert and strategic advice to the NSW Ministry of Health, the Minister and other parts of Government on research, evaluation, monitoring and data assets related to policies and programs/projects within health and social policy branch
- Lead development and management of state-wide data collections for programs in health and social policy portfolios, including development of data governance policies and processes
- Maintain accurate knowledge of data, monitoring, evaluation and reporting frameworks to communicate and promote relevant requirements and resources, and build capability to support robust performance and accountability within health and social policy branch
- Build and maintain relationships with key internal and external partners to maintain knowledge and deliver a strategic program of work to support branch research, evaluation, monitoring and data management priorities
- Plan, manage and monitor projects within the portfolio to ensure outcomes and/or expectations are achieved
- Provide high-level, and specialist advice for reports, briefs, correspondence, and cabinet documents to inform decision making or respond to agency or Government requests
- Manage financial activities to support policy and program delivery, including budget planning, procurement processes, contract management, and funding allocation, oversight and reporting
About you
We are seeking motivated and committed individuals who can support the work of NSW Health with:
- Relevant qualifications and/or relevant experience combined with substantial practical skills and experience in research, evaluation, and monitoring, or demonstrated equivalent professional experience. Management experience would be highly regarded.
- Significant experience in delivering outcomes in a multi-disciplinary or multi-agency environment.
- Demonstrated ability to work with diverse stakeholders to deliver on complex policy and program/project areas.
