About the role
The position is responsible for providing high quality secretariat support to the Healthdirect Australia Shareholder Committee. Healthdirect delivers national health information and advice services on behalf of all Australian governments, which are joint shareholders. The Secretariat is currently hosted by NSW Health within the Government Relations Branch.
The role supports the Chair of the Healthdirect Shareholder Committee to deliver effective secretariat services, engage with external bodies and stakeholders, and ensure strong governance standards are maintained. This includes exercising sound judgement, applying best practice governance processes, and providing high quality, timely advice and correspondence.
This is a pivotal role for a dynamic individual who enjoys working collaboratively in a progressive, fast paced environment, often within tight timeframes. The role is critical in delivering programs of work, projects, activities and research that support the Chair and the effective functioning of the Shareholder Committee Secretariat.
Remuneration: Crown Clerk 7/8, starting salary from $113,574 – $125,720 p.a. plus superannuation and annual leave loading

What you'll be doing
Healthdirect Australia is a public company limited by shares, funded and owned by all nine Australian state, territory and Commonwealth governments, represented by their respective Health Ministers. Its core business is the delivery of 24/7 health information, advice and referral services for all Australians, regardless of where they live or when they need support.
Representatives from each jurisdiction form the Shareholder Committee, which is currently chaired by New South Wales. The Shareholder Committee is the jurisdictional governance mechanism responsible for managing, enabling and directing the Company on national strategic priorities and activities, and for driving accountability and value for governments as shareholders.
In this role, you will manage secretariat processes to support the efficient functioning of the Shareholder Committee, enabling timely decision‑making and high‑quality governance outcomes.
