About this role
The Director, Strategy, Reform and Transformation is responsible for leading the development and implementation of strategic frameworks that drive reform in Aboriginal health. This role is central to delivering holistic, culturally safe care by ensuring alignment with key policy directions, and state and national priorities including the National Agreement on Closing the Gap.
Reporting to the Executive Director for the Centre for Aboriginal Health, the Director provides high-level advice on emerging policy issues to support informed executive decision-making. The role leads a team of policy professionals and serves as a central point of coordination for Aboriginal health strategy and transformation across the NSW health system.
This is an ongoing, full time, Band 1, Public Service senior executive (PSSE) role. An attractive remuneration package within the range of $225,628 to $250,574 per annum, with annual performance reviews, will be negotiated with the successful applicant.

About you
We are seeking motivated and committed individuals who can support the work of NSW Health who:
- Are Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander.
- Have demonstrated equivalent professional experience and/or relevant tertiary qualifications.
- Possess strong leadership capabilities, a strategic mindset, and senior-level management experience.
- Have proven experience in leading and developing policy and/or service delivery in Aboriginal health at an executive level.
