About us

We are currently seeking a strategic and results-driven Director of Finance to join the Executive Leadership Team at HealthShare NSW. This is a pivotal leadership role responsible for leading the organisation’s financial planning, budgeting and forecasting, functions. The Director of Finance will work closely with senior leadership to drive financial strategy, support data-driven decision-making, and ensure long-term financial sustainability.

HealthShare NSW touches the lives of NSW Health employees and patients every single day by delivering services that keep our public hospitals and health facilities running.


The Director of Finance will lead financial strategy and governance, ensuring data-driven insights guide strategic and operational decision making at HealthShare NSW. They will oversee budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management to support operational and long-term goals. This role provides high-level financial recommendations to senior leadership and ensures full compliance with relevant financial regulations and reporting standards.


This is an ongoing, full time, Band 1, Public Service Senior Executive HSSE role. An attractive remuneration package within the range of $217,997 to $242,100 per annum, inclusive of superannuation.

About you 

We are seeking motivated and committed individuals who can support the work of NSW
Health.


The successful candidate will hold relevant tertiary and/or postgraduate qualifications in accountancy, finance, commerce, economics, or a related field. Membership with a recognised Australian accounting body is required. The individual we are looking for will bring an extensive track record in senior finance leadership (including budgeting, pricing, financial governance) and demonstrate deep knowledge of accounting principles and financial regulations. Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills are essential, along with the ability to manage and mentor a high-performing finance team.
