This role provides strategic leadership and oversight of statewide cancer screening and prevention programs, driving increased participation and ensuring alignment with national and state cancer control policies.  This role leads the implementation of innovative, evidence-based prevention campaigns that meet best practice standards and Cancer, policies and deliver the priorities outlined in the NSW Cancer Plan.  

 

This is an ongoing, full time, Band 1, Health Service Senior Executive (HSSE) role. An attractive remuneration package within the range of $247,225 to $271,328 per annum, with annual performance reviews, will be negotiated with the successful applicant.

About you 

We are seeking motivated and committed individuals who can support the work of NSW Health with: 

•    Significant and expert knowledge of current issues affecting the health system and the delivery of diverse health services gained through experience in a Health (or similar) environment.
•    Tertiary qualifications or equivalent experience in the health or similar industry environment.
•    Expert knowledge of principles and practice of cancer control programs, including knowledge of current national and international cancer control programs including prevention and screening.
•    Significant experience in policy development and capacity to provide advice on strategic and policy issues, at ministerial and cabinet level.
•    Demonstrated capacity to identify and influence significant changes and improvements to well established systems and practices.
