You’ll work on websites that provide large and diverse audiences with important information — from everyday health topics to major public health responses — where clarity, accessibility and usability truly matter.

Crown Clerk 7/8, starting salary from $113,574–$125,720 plus Super and annual leave loading, with a 35-hour work week.

What you'll be doing 
As a Digital Communications Officer, you will provide advice and support to stakeholders on the development of the NSW Health website, communication campaigns, and usability projects.

Day-to-day responsibilities include:

  • Creating and reviewing content for NSW Health websites, intranets, and digital platforms.
  • Working with content management systems (SharePoint and Drupal), analytics platforms, accessibility tools, and the NSW Government Digital Design System, bringing your HTML and CSS skills into play so our digital content can really shine, supported by appropriate use of AI tools along the way.
  • Ensuring content meets accessibility standards and best-practice publishing guidelines.
  • Reporting on website performance and analytics.
  • Responding to web-related enquiries from stakeholders and the community.
  • Collaborating with passionate team members across digital, communications, design, media, social media, policy, that value knowledge-sharing and thoughtful feedback.


About you 
You’re someone who cares deeply about high-quality digital content and takes pride in making complex information clearer, more inclusive and more useful for the people who rely on it.

We are seeking someone with: 

  • Proven experience in developing and evaluating digital communications, including web development skills, such as HTML and CSS, within content management platforms.
  • Strong interpersonal and relationship management skills, including experience working with multiple and varying stakeholders at all levels.
  • Excellent communication skills, including the ability to write, edit and publish engaging web content.
  • The ability to work independently and in a team within a fast paced environment managing high volumes and competing priorities.
