What you'll be doing
Provide contemporary comprehensive GP specialist obstetric services for optimal patient outcomes at Kempsey District Hospital. To provide and support training to clinicians across multiple disciplines to achieve quality education and safe clinical practice and participate in relevant committees and other inter-departmental functions.
This is a Category A position. Recommended applicants will be reviewed for compliance with NSW Health policy directive for Category A positions prior to offer.

Salary will be accordance with NSW Health State Awards for the advertised classification/s. These awards are available at https://www.health.nsw.gov.au/careers/conditions/pages/default.aspx.
- Eligible for registration with the Medical Board of Australia.
- Fellowship of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners and / or Fellowship of the Australian College of Rural and Remote Medicine and / or Vocational Recognition as a General Practitioner.
- Hold DRANZCOG Adv or equivalent with demonstrated appropriate procedural skills in the delivery of General Practice Obstetrics in accordance with the role delineation of the service, including advanced neonatal resuscitation skills and care of the newborn.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team and provide leadership of a team.
- Demonstrated effective clinical communication through the use of information technology and written, verbal and interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrated commitment to teaching, continuing education, research and quality improvement.
- Availability to participate in an on-call roster and to respond on site within a reasonable time (20 minutes).
- Hold a current unrestricted NSW Drivers Licence
