Employment with Mid North Coast LHD requires candidates to hold a valid authority to work in Australia (Aust Work Rights Visa). 

What you'll be doing
Provide optimum sterilisation services of hospital equipment and instruments within the Central Sterilising Service Department reflective of current infection control measures and in accordance with statutory requirements and Mid North Coast Local Health District policies and procedures. 

About You
You are a dedicated and reliable professional who brings a strong commitment to maintaining high standards within a Central Sterile Services Department. With a Certificate III in Sterilisation Technology at TAFE, or a clear willingness to obtain it within two years, you demonstrate both readiness and motivation to grow within the field. You work confidently under routine supervision, consistently meeting expectations while performing essential tasks that support safe and efficient clinical operations.

Your sound computer knowledge allows you to quickly learn and adapt to programs used in CSSD environments, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in documentation and workflow processes. You take pride in your attention to detail, approaching repetitive tasks with focus, consistency, and a strong sense of responsibility. Your ability to maintain concentration and precision contributes directly to high-quality sterilisation outcomes.

You are flexible and dependable, able to participate in a seven‑day rotating roster that includes a significant proportion of afternoon shifts. Your adaptability and strong work ethic make you a valuable team member who supports the department’s needs while contributing to a safe and effective healthcare environment.
