About the role

The Organisation Development Coordinator plays a pivotal role in strengthening leadership capability and organisational effectiveness across MNCLHD, fostering a culture that is responsive to the needs of patients, carers, and the wider community. This role leads and project manages strategic organisational development initiatives aligned with the NSW Health Future Health Strategy, Workforce Plan, and internal people and performance priorities.  With accountability for resource allocation and achieving defined outcomes, the coordinator ensures the efficient, timely, and cost-effective delivery of programs and services. They apply creative and innovative approaches to improve productivity, while leveraging strong negotiation, delegation, and stakeholder engagement skills to drive results.

The role contributes to the development and evaluation of policies, procedures, and standards, and supports the design of strategic and business objectives, including the establishment of meaningful performance measures. Using established project and change management methodologies, the coordinator delivers a diverse portfolio of organisational development initiatives, including leadership development, capability building, facilitation, and change coaching across teams and services.  Grounded in contemporary best practice, the Coordinator researches, designs, implements, and evaluates programs that build organisational, team, and leadership capability, ensuring alignment with stakeholder needs and organisational goals. Central to the role is a strong commitment to patient safety, quality improvement, and innovation, actively contributing to a culture that prioritises excellence in care and continuous improvement in health outcomes.

This is a permanent Full-Time role based within the Mid North Coast Local Health District with offices based in Coffs Harbour and Port Macquarie.

About You

You bring a strong foundation of relevant tertiary qualifications, complemented by extensive practical experience in organisational development, leadership capability, and culture change with a background that reflects a balanced combination of formal study and hands on delivery, enabling you to translate theory into meaningful, real-world outcomes.

Demonstrated high level of leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with a proven ability to consult, negotiate, and build effective relationships across a diverse range of stakeholders. Confidence in engaging with individuals at all levels, including senior executives, clinicians, and managers, and have a strong track record of building rapport, trust, and collaborative partnerships within complex environments.

Highly organised and outcomes-focused, you will need to excel at managing competing priorities, meeting tight deadlines, and delivering results within allocated resources and equally effective working independently or as part of a high-performing team, with the ability to motivate, coordinate, and support others to achieve shared goals.
