This is an Aboriginal identified position – applicants must be of Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander descent (as per the Anti-Discrimination Act 1977).

This position's location is negotiable within the Hastings Macleay Clinical Network (Port Macquarie | Wauchope | Kempsey) and also requires the successful candidate to frequently travel between these sites.


What you'll be doing

Mid North Coast Local Health District (MNCLHD) is seeking a passionate and experienced Aboriginal leader to drive meaningful health outcomes across the Hastings Macleay Clinical Network.

This senior leadership role will:

  • Provide strategic leadership and expert advice on Aboriginal health priorities aligned to national, state and district frameworks
  • Lead culturally safe programs, partnerships, and workforce initiatives
  • Strengthen engagement with Aboriginal communities, Aboriginal Community Controlled Health Organisations, and key stakeholders
  • Support delivery of Closing the Gap priorities and improved health outcomes

 

About You

You are a strategic thinker and strong communicator with:

  • Proven leadership in complex health or community environments
  • Experience delivering and evaluating Aboriginal health initiatives
  • Ability to build partnerships and influence across diverse stakeholders

A TALENT POOL MAY BE CREATED FOR FUTURE ROLES AND WILL REMAIN VALID FOR 18 MONTHS.
