About the Role 
The Junior Medical Officer (JMO) Unit at Coffs Harbour Health Campus is an award-winning, dynamic hub dedicated to nurturing the next generation of medical professionals. The JMO Manager position is responsible for managing and providing administrative support for the non-specialist medical workforce of Coffs Clinical Network (CCN). The JMO Manager is responsible for all aspects of HR Management including workforce planning, recruitment and retaining junior medical officers and assisting Junior Medical Officers in developing a successful career. 

They assist the medical staff with payroll enquires and signoffs. leave requests and roster development and maintenance.  They also actively promote and participate in patient safety and ongoing quality improvement programs and engage in practices that promote the best possible outcomes for patients/clients, supporting a culture of patient safety, clinical quality and innovation.  The JMO Manager works effectively and collaboratively with the multidisciplinary teams across the local health district and relevant external service providers.  They assist with the monitoring and responding to incident notifications and complaints as they apply to JMOs.

About You
You will need to have management experience managing a medium workforce along with effective communication, problem solving and interpersonal skills with the ability to build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.  You will also require exceptional time management and organisation skills with ability to meet predetermined targets and deadlines as well as competent computer skills utilising varied and appropriate software programs.

Coffs Harbour Health Campus is a leading regional facility focused on improving health outcomes for the population of approximately 81,000 it services.  The hospital is a level five teaching hospital for medicine, nursing, and allied health and also acts as a hub for health research in the region. We are proud to be teaching the clinicians of tomorrow.   A 357-bed service, CHHC treats nearly 45,000 emergency presentations each year, including patients with a range of serious and life-threatening conditions such as burns and serious trauma.   

Coffs Harbour Health Campus is the hub of the Coffs Clinical Network which also includes smaller facilities such as the Bellinger River and Macksville District Hospitals, Bowraville and Nambucca HealthOne facilities and Dorrigo Multi-Purpose Service (MPS).  The hospital provides a broad range of general and specialist services including general medicine, general surgery, specialist medicine and surgical services, day surgery, planned and emergency operating theatre surgical services. The Hospital also has a coronary care unit (including coronary angiography unit), a large intensive care unit, obstetrics, paediatrics, a 24-hour Emergency Department, oncology, palliative care, stroke, acute renal dialysis, mental health services (including high dependency) and outpatient clinics.

In addition to operating a large acute hospital we offer sub-acute services including inpatient and outpatient rehabilitation, a regional psychiatric service, specialist clinics, dialysis and a range of outreach services.

Patients requiring neurosurgery or heart surgery are transferred to other facilities for these procedures. A rooftop helipad facilitates aeromedical transfers and patient retrieval.
