Join Our Team - Internal Audit Coordinator (HM1)

Are you passionate about integrity, governance and supporting high-quality audit processes?  We are looking for a skilled and proactive Internal Audit Coordinator to join our Internal Audit and Risk Directorate in Port Macquarie. 

About the Role

In this role you will play a key part in supporting to the internal audit function within the Internal Audit and Risk Directorate by coordinating administrative processes and ensuring compliance with statutory obligations.  Your responsibilities will include:

·         managing key registers such as the Public Interest Disclosures (PID) Register,

·         supporting mandatory notifications (including Section 11 ICAC reporting),

·         providing high level secretariat support to the Audit and Risk Committee,

·         facilitating the scheduling, logistics and tracking of internal audit activities and follow-up actions,

·         providing executive assistance to the Director (Chief Audit Executive and Chief Risk Officer) and Associate Director of Internal Audit, and

·         supporting fraud and corruption prevention activities.

 

This is a full-time permanent role based in Port Macquarie.

About You

To succeed in this role, you will bring:

·         Tertiary qualifications in a relevant field or equivalent work experience

·         Knowledge of internal audit processes and governance frameworks (or ability to rapidly acquire it)

·         Demonstrated proficiency in time management and organisational skills

·         Integrity and ability to maintain confidentiality when managing sensitive information

·         effective interpersonal skills and demonstrated ability to liaise effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
