What you'll be doing
 

Mid North Coast Integrated Mental Health Alcohol and Other Drugs (IMHAOD) will implement a new Emergency Mental Health & Addiction Assessment Team (EMHAART) service that provides safe and easily accessible pathways aimed at improving consumer outcomes and experiences.   

The service will provide advice, triage, initial assessment, and referral service to facilitate access to the appropriate mental health or substance use disorders (SUD) services for the people of MNCLHD across their lifespan. MNCLHD has a wide distribution of consumers that have challenges accessing services resulting in the need to refine and centralise ‘front-end’ 24/7 referral, access, and entry pathways as a priority to IMHAOD services.  

This position will undertake assessment and management of MHAOD presentations to ED and when appropriate provide advice and assessment to emergency services through a virtual mode.  

To provide expert clinical consultancy and services within a defined specialty, practicing within the domains and the functions of the CNC 1 role and to demonstrate leadership in promoting contemporary nursing / midwifery practice within the Mid North Coast Local Health District.

Salary will be accordance with NSW Health State Awards for the advertised classification/s.  These awards are available at http://www.health.nsw.gov.au/careers/conditions/pages/default.aspx.

A TALENT POOL WILL BE CREATED FOR FUTURE ROLES AND WILL REMAIN VALID FOR 18 MONTHS.
