Employment with Mid North Coast LHD requires candidates to hold a valid authority to work in Australia (Aust Work Rights Visa).
What you'll be doing
Provision of professional administrative and operational support to public outpatient departments, including paediatric and medical craft group outpatient clinics at Port Macquarie Base Hospital, in line with current Mid North Coast Local Health District policies and procedures.
About You
You bring strong capability in providing administrative support, backed by a solid understanding of general administration procedures and relevant technology.
You demonstrate proficient interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills, enabling you to liaise confidently and courteously with people at all levels.
You have competent typing skills, including experience with Dictaphone typing and medical transcription.
You offer experience across administration and reception duties, including managing busy phone systems and delivering a high level of customer service to patients, staff and external agencies. You handle enquiries from patients, medical staff, wards and individuals requiring services or appointments with professionalism and efficiency.
You maintain a high attention to detail, ensuring all patient information is accurately recorded for clinical, statistical and billing purposes, while upholding strict confidentiality at all times.
You bring strong organisational skills and the ability to prioritise your workload effectively to meet deadlines.
You are confident in using computers and relevant software programs such as Word, Excel and Outlook.
You work well under broad supervision and contribute effectively as a member of a multidisciplinary team, undertaking a diverse range of tasks as required.
