- Relevant tertiary qualifications in a Clinical Coding field or equivalent work experience, or a combination of study and work experience.
- Demonstrated high level of leadership, communication and interpersonal skills including the ability to consult, negotiate and liaise effectively with a diverse range of people
- Demonstrated sound time management and organisational skills with ability to meet tight deadlines within defined resources ensuring targets are met
- Demonstrated capacity to work independently and collaboratively as a part of a high performing team with the ability to motivate and coordinate staff
- Highly competent computer skills utilising varied and appropriate software programs (eg word processing, data management systems and spreadsheets)
- Demonstrated competence in clinical classification using ICD-10-AM and ACHI, with a thorough understanding of Australian Coding Standards, clinical coding auditing and analysing/validating audit results.
- Proven capability in training and/or mentoring in a Clinical Coding work environment
- Current Drivers Licence and ability to travel as required
