Seeking an experienced and motivated clinical pharmacist to take on a leadership portfolio, focused on workforce development and capability. This role provides educational leadership within pharmacy, driving initiatives that build staff capacity and support advancing practice.

Employment Type: Temporary Part Time until 28 August 2026 (with possibility of ongoing employment)
Position Classification: Pharmacist Grade 3
Remuneration: $69.15 - $71.02 per hour

What you'll be doing
Drive Workforce Initiatives: Lead the design, implementation and evaluation of programs that build capability and support advanced practice, including Partnered Pharmacist Medication Charting (PPMC) and other scope-of-practice models.

Education Leadership: Develop and deliver professional development programs for pharmacy staff.

Competency Assessment: Coordinate structured assessment processes (e.g., Direct Observation of Practice, Mini-CEX, Case-Based Discussions, OSCEs).

Clinical Contribution: Maintain a clinical component to support patient care and model best practice.

Collaboration & Culture: Work with team leaders and stakeholders to embed a culture of continuous learning and capability building.

Candidates will need to meet the following criteria:

  1. Consistently demonstrates behaviours that reinforce the CORE Values of our organisation; Collaboration, Openness, Respect and Empowerment. Demonstrates these behaviours with all stakeholders; colleagues, direct reports, as well as our patients and consumers, and those that care for them.
  2. Current registration as a pharmacist with the Pharmacy Board of Australia (or eligible for immediate registration) with no conditions or restrictions on practice and evidence of extensive and relevant hospital experience.
  3. Provide evidence of proficient written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills with the proven ability to liaise with novice and experienced health professionals and external service providers. Demonstrated computer literacy and ability to use health information systems.
  4. Demonstrated ability to initiate, lead, complete and share quality improvement activities or service evaluation process. Experience in clinical teaching and supervision of students, interns, Pharmacist, and/or Pharmacy Technicians/Assistants.
  5. Identify proficient skills and knowledge in the provision of current clinical hospital pharmacy practice. A strong commitment to an evidence-based service to provide for consumers, carers and families.
  6. Demonstrated proficiency in ability to work autonomously with limited supervision. Have the ability to prioritise work, manage a demanding workload, apply high level reasoning skills and have independent professional judgement.
