What you'll be doing
This position provides an operational assistance and advisory service to Program Directors, managers and workers in the management of WHS, compliance to legislation and the prevention of workplace incidents and injuries.
Being part of a team that has the responsibility for ensuring that Sydney Children’s Hospitals Network (SCHN) complies with the requirements of NSW WHS Legislation, NSW Ministry of Health and local hospital policies and procedures
This position is suited to a person who is organized, proactive and able to deal with competing demands, with experience in Work Health and Safety in a large diverse organization. You need to be independent and also able to work as part of a team with excellent communication skills and a strong focus on the customer.
The successful candidate will ensure directors and managers understand their accountabilities and responsibilities under current WHS legislation and regulations.
About You
We’re looking for someone who:
Has experience in WHS and Manual Handling Coordination together with a health science background and/or experience working in a hospital setting
Can undertaken timely management of a work health safety service and demonstrated working knowledge of relevant legislation
Current unrestricted Australian drivers licence
