Join Our Medical Division Team
The Medical Division at Coffs Harbour Health Campus provides high-quality, patient-centred care across a broad range of acute and specialty medical services. Our division includes:
- Medical A Ward (28 beds) including 4 High Dependency Unit (HDU) beds and 4 Telemetry beds.
- Medical B Ward (32 beds) providing comprehensive acute medical care.
- Medical Assessment Unit (MAU) (10 beds) providing rapid assessment, treatment, stabilisation and discharge planning for patients requiring short-stay medical care and multidisciplinary review.
Together, these services provide more than 70 beds dedicated to the care of patients with acute and complex medical conditions across specialties including General Medicine, Cardiology, Respiratory Medicine, Gastroenterology, Endocrinology, Nephrology, Neurology, Infectious Diseases, Geriatric Medicine, Haematology, Oncology, and Palliative and Supportive Care.
The Medical Assessment Unit plays a key role in supporting patient flow and delivering timely, efficient care. Working within MAU provides exposure to fast-paced clinical decision-making, multidisciplinary collaboration and early discharge planning, making it an excellent environment for developing assessment and acute care skills.
As an Enrolled Nurse, you will work under the direction and supervision of a Registered Nurse to provide safe, compassionate and evidence-based care to patients with a wide range of acute and chronic health conditions. You will be an integral member of the multidisciplinary healthcare team, contributing to patient assessment, monitoring, clinical documentation, treatment delivery and discharge planning while supporting patients and their families throughout their healthcare journey.
This position requires participation in a seven-day rotating roster including morning, afternoon and night shifts.

- Deliver safe, evidence-based nursing care within your scope of practice.
- Work collaboratively with Registered Nurses, medical officers, allied health professionals and support staff.
- Monitor and report changes in patient condition and contribute to timely escalation of care.
- Support patient recovery through person-centred care, education and effective communication.
- Contribute to patient flow and discharge planning processes.
- Promote a positive workplace culture based on respect, teamwork and accountability.
- Participate in ongoing professional development and learning opportunities.
