Where you'll be working
The new Griffith Base Hospital provides a range of specialist services (both resident and visiting) including emergency medicine, critical care, general medicine, surgery, paediatric medicine, oncology, obstetrics, respiratory medicine, renal dialysis, Hospital in the Home and rehabilitation.

The VMO will provide contemporary comprehensive and professional specialist services in Rheumatology that are safe, effective, evidence based and patient centered.

Selection Criteria
- Holds unconditional registration with the Medical Board of Australia as a Specialist Physician Rheumatologist.
- MBBS or equivalent, and holds fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians in the specialty of Rheumatology.
- Demonstrated significant experience relevant to Rheumatology practice and evidence of competence in skills relevant to Australian rural hospital practice.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team and provide leadership of a team.
- Demonstrated commitment to teaching, continuing education, research and quality improvement.
- Demonstrated commitment to behaviours which align to the NSW Health CORE values and MLHD Values, goals and strategies.
- Demonstrated effective clinical communication through the use of information technology and written, verbal and interpersonal skills.
