About the role:

We are looking for an enthusiastic and passionate Allied Health Assistant to join our Community Care team.

This is an opportunity to kick start your career in health or expand your skills in a new area, working collaboratively with our diverse Allied Health team while providing clinical and administrative support services.

The Community Care Allied Health Assistant will be responsible for supporting the implementation of integrated care and chronic disease initiatives across the Murrumbidgee Local Health District. This includes provision of integrated and effective services for consumers with late stage degenerative, chronic conditions and disability in the community.

As the Allied Health Assistant, you will be responsible for:

  • Perform and assist with activities under the supervision and direction of treating Allied Health Professionals

  • Complete clinical and administrative support activities to promote the effective and efficient provision of Allied Health services. 

  • Maintaining a safe and supportive environment for patients and the multidisciplinary team

Our ideal candidate will:

  1. Hold a Certificate IV in Allied Health Assistance (or formal commitment to complete this training within 3 years of employment, or relevant qualification and willingness to complete required skill sets.)

  2. Show effective interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate across all levels with internal and external stakeholders.

  3. Have demonstrated ability to work as a member of a multidisciplinary team, working collaboratively and effectively.
