What we are looking for

  • Tertiary qualification in Health Information Management or other relevant qualification and/or extensive experience in using data management and analysis skills to achieve improved operational outcomes preferably within a large organisation. Current valid driver’s license
  • Experience in the management of health service data collection systems at a District level including extensive knowledge of services and service delivery in a large and diverse health service and ability to analyse and interpret health service activity data in an operational context
  • Demonstrated detailed understanding of the relationship between patient activity data and patient management, service planning and activity based funding/management principles.
  • Demonstrated experience or the capacity to quickly acquire understanding and application relating to the use of Health Information systems, such as, Patient Administration Systems (iPM), eMR and advanced skills in MS Office software (Excel, Access and Word). Experience with managing data systems and using SQL server will be highly regarded.
  • Highly developed analytical, conceptual, and problem solving skills with the demonstrated capacity to identify trends and issues and report risks to enable responsive service management and planning.
  • High-level communication and interpersonal skills with demonstrated ability to build relationships, consult and negotiate with internal and external stakeholders ranging from Ministry of Health staff, managerial, clinical and administration staff at all levels.
  • Demonstrated ability and capacity to work under pressure to meet deadlines and to work independently as well as part of a team.
  • Demonstrated experience in the effective presentation of information to different levels of staff, preferably including training experience.
