Multiple fixed term temporary roles – 12 months
Rostered shifts equivalent of 3.0 FTE available

Applications are sought from suitably qualified Consultant Emergency Physicians for a fixed-term, 12-month position at John Hunter Hospital. This role includes guaranteed rostered weekend and evening VMO shifts (equivalent 3.0 FTE available) in the Emergency Department, providing contemporary, comprehensive specialist care to achieve optimal patient outcomes.

Role Requirements

  • Medical Registration – Applicants must hold a primary medical degree registrable with AHPRA and either:
  • Fellowship with the Australasian College for Emergency Medicine (FACEM), OR FRACP Paediatrician with a Specialisation in Emergency Medicine (FRACP PEM)
  • Clinical Responsibilities – Admitting, consultative, diagnostic, procedural, outpatient, telehealth, and on-call services as required by HNELHD.
  • Education & Research – Contribute to training, supervision, and ongoing clinical education within the department.
