About the Role

Concord Centre for Mental Health is committed to improving mental health for people and our communities by providing quality mental health services in partnership with consumers, families and service providers by providing quality healthcare, delivery of safe appropriate care, ensuring access to services, supporting our workforce, and working closely with the local community to manage the changing demand for services.

You will be required to work alternately between the Concord Centre for Mental Health and Professor Marie Bashir Centre campuses on a regular basis.

  • The role is multi-faceted. It will provide health insurance claim administration and case management support to patients and carers during hospitalisation, whilst maintaining the confidentiality of all patient information.
  • Support patients and carers making informed decisions regarding their financial options relating to care, including liaising with insurance companies as required to confirm level of cover and the completion of all relevant forms to process eligible claims. 
  •  Review of daily patient census reports to ensure correct patient classifications have been applied and making the necessary updates in the eMR when errors are found.
  • Provide a cashiering service to the hospital for petty cash payments, receipting and banking as well as the management/safekeeping of patient money and property.

Ideal Candidate

  • Demonstrated capability to use a wide range of computer hardware, software and electronic systems to complete work activities.
  • Cash handling experience.
  • Current NSW Driver's Licence (P1 and P2 Acceptable).
