Support the nursing staff within the Operating Suite in assisting with sterile set-ups, restocking, and following direction as required.

As a Sterilisation Technician within the Centre Core of the Perioperative Team, you will be responsible for the meticulous handling, storage, and management of sterile stock. Your work will adhere to the standards set by ISLHD, the Sterilisation Services Department, AS/NZ 4187, ACORN, and NSW Ministry of Health Infection Control Policies. In this role, you will collaborate with your team demonstrating accountability and responsibility in your daily tasks. Your attention to detail and commitment to safety will directly contribute to patient outcomes in our healthcare facilities.

Wollongong Hospital, located on Dharawal Country, is the Illawarra Shoalhaven’s major referral and teaching hospital and has a bed-base count of more than 500.
