What you'll be doing 
Your role is pivotal in sterilising and reprocessing medical instruments, contributing directly to infection control and patient safety.

  • Process reusable devices following AS/NZ 4187 standards
  • Operate sterilisation equipment including washers, disinfectors, and autoclaves
  • Conduct routine testing and maintenance of sterilising machines
  • Communicate with clinical teams to meet urgent needs and deliver excellent customer service
  • Participate in competency-based and mandatory training

Essential Requirements

  • Qualifications: Sterilisation Services Certificate III

Selection Criteria

  1. Certificate in sterilising services and experience in working in a Hospital Sterilising services department one year or more
  2. Sound understanding and Knowledge of infection Control requirements , Standards AS/NZ 4187 and ISO in a health care setting
  3. Demonstrated communication skills – including Verbal, Written and interpersonal abilities
  4. Ability to work collaboratively within a team and busy environment with changing priorities and work demands
  5. Knowledge and understanding of WH&S legislation and Manual handling techniques to maintain safety in the workplace
  6. Physically capable of performing all duties-including chemical handling, Biological hazards, Standing for long periods, lifting pushing and pulling loads
