What you'll be doing
Your role is pivotal in sterilising and reprocessing medical instruments, contributing directly to infection control and patient safety.
- Process reusable devices following AS/NZ 4187 standards
- Operate sterilisation equipment including washers, disinfectors, and autoclaves
- Conduct routine testing and maintenance of sterilising machines
- Communicate with clinical teams to meet urgent needs and deliver excellent customer service
- Participate in competency-based and mandatory training

Essential Requirements
- Qualifications: Sterilisation Services Certificate III
Selection Criteria
- Certificate in sterilising services and experience in working in a Hospital Sterilising services department one year or more
- Sound understanding and Knowledge of infection Control requirements , Standards AS/NZ 4187 and ISO in a health care setting
- Demonstrated communication skills – including Verbal, Written and interpersonal abilities
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team and busy environment with changing priorities and work demands
- Knowledge and understanding of WH&S legislation and Manual handling techniques to maintain safety in the workplace
- Physically capable of performing all duties-including chemical handling, Biological hazards, Standing for long periods, lifting pushing and pulling loads
